Biography
Bram Oostveen followed the Bachelor’s Degree programme in Dutch Language and Culture and the Master’s Degree programme in Dutch Literature at the University of Utrecht. A component of this Master’s Degree was a work placement in the ‘Willem Frederik Hermans, Volledige Werken’ project of Huygens Institute. Since May 2007 he has been working on this project as a research member of staff, and writes the text history of one or more works by Hermans for each part of the series. In addition, he is responsible for the text content of various works for the paper edition and also provides material for the annotation. For this purpose he performs supplementary research in the Hermans archives. He is preparing the digital research material for future volumes and, in this framework, is currently comparing digitised book prints journal publications and other primary and secondary documentary sources that are relevant for the text history.
