Letters Bosboom-Toussaint to Busken Huet added to online edition
Amsterdam, 9 July 2024 – Editor Annemarie Doornbos of the Huygens Institute delivered 67 letters from Geertruida Bosboom-Toussaint to Conrad Busken Huet. These have been added to the already existing online edition Briefwisseling Bosboom-Toussaint.
As of 9 July 2024, the online edition Letters by Geertruida Bosboom-Toussaint (1812-1886) has been expanded to include 67 letters from A.L.G. (Geertruida) Bosboom-Toussaint to C. (Conrad) Busken Huet. She wrote these letters over a period of 25 years. Thanks to editor Annemarie Doornbos of the Huygens Institute, their entire correspondence can now be found online. In fact, Busken Huet’s letters to her can be found on the DBNL.
Doornbos is now continuing the edition project with Bosboom-Toussaint’s letters to other correspondents, including husband J. Bosboom and publisher Kruseman. In addition, until recently unknown letters to Rosa Asser were made available by the Jewish Historical Museum. Doornbos will also process and add these letters to the edition in the near future.
Annemarie Doornbos is also currently working on a biography of A.L.G. Bosboom-Toussaint.
