Publications

The research projects of the Huygens Institute are not only reflected in source publications, reference works and datasets, but also in books, journal articles and lectures. We keep track of all our publications in the KNAW Pure portal. You can search there by author, year, but also by title words. In many cases, the publication itself or an author’s version can be downloaded as a pdf. You can also find the publications of the other KNAW institutes on the portal. A limited number of publications are also available via the website of Sidestone Press.

Books

• The Wereldgeschiedenis van Nederland (World History of the Netherlands) is a successful publication of our institute published in August 2018 by Ambo|Anthos. Both the hardback and the paperback are sold out. The sequel Nog meer wereldgeschiedenis van Nederland (Even more World History of the Netherlands) will appear in October 2022 from the same publisher.
• Vincent van Gogh – The Letters. The complete, illustrated and annotated edition was published under the co-authorship of Leo Jansen and co-published by the Mercatorfonds. This edition is almost sold out.
• Since the autumn of 2005, the Volledige Werken van (Complete Works of) Willem Frederik Hermans have been published by De Bezige Bij publishers. Volume 24, the concluding volume of the series, will appear in 2022.
• The publication Generale Missiven. From Governors-General and Councils to Lords XVII of the Dutch East India Company Part XIV: 1761-1767, is available at sidestone.com.
