Biography
Sabine Rummens graduated in classical languages. After a period in education, she made the switch to the academic world and developed into an expert in operational management, especially the connection between education, research and operational management. She worked as a (deputy) director of Facility Services for the UvA and the HvA, as head of the Education Logistics Bureau for the UvA and the HvA and as a programme manager for rehousing in the city centre (UvA). After that, she was director of business operations at the Amsterdam Academic Centre for Dentistry (ACTA). Her expertise lies in linking operations, research and education. She likes to use operations as a means to enable research and education to excel.
