Biography

Ronald Sluijter studied history at Leiden University, where he obtained his doctorate in 2004 with a thesis on the organisation and finances of Leiden University in the period 1575-1812. At the Huygens Institute, he has worked on various projects since 2000, including the ‘Compendium of office holders and civil servants 1428-1861′, a database containing information on the members and highest-ranking officials of the most important Dutch representative, administrative and judicial institutions. As a member of the Data Management department, he is currently working on the REPUBLIC project, a digital edition of the resolutions of the States General from 1576 to 1796.
